On the topic of piracy that Jonas touched upon earlier, imagine we designed a new processor with a specific instruction set. This processor would have the property that when we fed it the Top Gun Special Edition DVD and it interpreted the data as machine code, then Windows Vista would run. That would be great, if you made an illegal copy of Top Gun you would at the same time make one of Windows.
