Our First App

Where to begin? This week has been wild. Some of you may have noticed that our first application, previously known by the code name “Project Mustang”, now known far and wide under the real name “Bang/Buck”, has been accepted by Apple and is on sale at the App Store. If you haven’t bought it yet I suggest you do it before Jonas finds out. He has just had a half bottle of Lanson champagne and doesn’t look happy. Find it here.

The other app we sent in, Project Hollywood, was rejected under unclear circumstances. Anyway we fixed that today and resubmitted it so it will probably be ready pretty soon.

In a Tales from the Wardrobe fashion (also known as filling our corporate blog with everyday nonsense) I’m going to tell you about the lunch we cooked today here at the office. We call it Saumon de Moutard Poire Verts d’Emma avec Bière Rangés les Pommes de Terre. Pics will be up on Flickr soon. We enjoyed it with previously mentioned Lanson and it was delicious.

Anyway we’re writing this from SXSW. Just finished being on a panel about Apple’s new tablet (we know what they’re actually planning since we’re sleeping with some key people at Apple in Cupertino, so we had to keep our faces straight while discussing these stupid rumors with the other clowns in the panel, exhausting.) Last night we had some beer and watched the upcoming act Glasvegas, keep your eyes on them in 2009, will be the Next Big Thing™!

Finally!

A milestone has been reached! Finally after over a month of e-mailing, sending faxes and general confusion we’re now accepted into the iPhone Developer Program. That means we can now debug our programs on the actual device instead of the simulator, and we can submit applications to the App Store.

Tomorrow I’m going to take Project Mustang through some battletesting in the field. Of course you’ll be the first to know when it’s available for download if you keep reading this blog!

ZOMG These Guys are Cuuuuute

We just got ourselves a Flickr account to which we will regularly post pics from our champagne soaked startup lives. Check it out right here.

In other news we’re hard at work on Project Goose. Hey ÖeG, do some of that hax0r shit!

ÖeG Kickoff Party

A few of you may already have heard, on Monday 22 December at 5 pm ÖeG will have its official inauguration party at our new offices (a.k.a. The Wardrobe) located in Jonas’s residence at Dr. Bex gata 13B in Göteborg. All our fans are of course welcome, please write something in the comments if you want to attend. And link to our blog and write about us on Twitter.

We will also use this event to try to raise some funds for our trip to Riga and the Barcamp Baltics in February. All we ask is that you bring one case of people’s beer, drink it all up and leave the refunds for us.

As it is a Monday it also coincides with our first real Champagne Monday. Depending on the mood we may have a big whiteboard brainstorming session with all the guests and maybe some drunk coding or other Web 2.0 related activities. Jonas has promised to provide some kind of cocktail snacks.

The dresscode is business casual. Please keep in mind pictures from the event will be featured on YouTube and all over Web 2.0 so try to not be ugly.

Ghost Rider, this is Strike. We have unknown aircraft inbound Mustang. Your vector zero-nine-zero for bogey.

So today we are officially launching development of our first iPhone application, codenamed Project Mustang. We will not disclose any details about the app yet, but it will enable party animals to optimize their night out and utilize their mobile computing power in the often time-critical decision-making process.

We are really super excited about this product.

Humble Beginnings

Greetings.

With this post begins a new era in mobile computing. People will stop using their phones and start using the reality around them — brought to their fingertips by the creative geniuses known to man as Önders et Gonas. That’s French btw. We are currently in the initial stages of development and are polishing our masterplan to turn this planet into something that aliens would want to visit again. We will use this space to write about our upcoming applications for the iPhone and perhaps other devices, tales from the wardrobe (“Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the wardrobe!”) and anything that crosses our drunken minds.

À la prochaine!
